Recovering From Irene

There are many ways to offer help to Vermonters struggling in the aftermath of  Hurricane Irene.

And the Burlington Farmer’s Market is involved with a variety of fund-raising efforts:  direct donations of money from vendors, donations from a percentage of sales; donations of services; and a silent auction you can read about here.

I won’t be at market tomorrow – more rain is in the forecast.

But I encourage you to attend if you can.  As we begin this Labor Day Weekend and head into fall, it’s more important than ever to support our local businesses.

There are places in our state where the physical landscape has changed – but the environment here remains the same.

This is a good place to be.  A great place to visit.  With good people who care about each other.

Come to Vermont.  Help us help each other.
